Maritime safety FSC
It aims to strengthen the maritime safety of domestic vessels so as to diminish the rate of embargo in the foreign ports and to raise national status in the maritime field.

You can refer to the establishment regulations of maritime traffic safety related seasonal, a date of enforcement, inspection of foreign vessels, examination of safety on vessels, etc.

Purpose
¡¤ It aims to strengthen the maritime safety of domestic vessels so as to diminish the rate of embargo in the foreign ports and to raise national status in the maritime field.
Inspection objects and cycle
Section Objects Cycle
Priority vessels to be managed Vessels belonging to shipping companies suspended more than 2 times and for 2 years in foreign port or suspended vessels Once/quarter
PSC vulnerable vessels Arriving bulk carriers, vessels more than 15 years old, Outbound vessel of Korea nationality Once/half year
The others All outbound vessels, other vessels with special orders from the head office Once/year
Inspection method
¡¤ It is to be done according to PSC procedures (IMO Res. 881).
Measures
¡¤ Inspection is to be conducted as to whether or not the ship¡¯s inspection has been conducted properly.
¡¤ Give orders to correct defects and lodge an information against a violation of law.
¡¤ Take a strong action for unfaithful shipping companies that do not fulfill correction.
